An AI-powered family management app that tackles the $12 trillion gender equality opportunity by giving parents back time and headspace. A startup scaled globally with zero media spend.

PROBLEM/

The unpaid work involved in managing a family - planning, organising, remembering - is constant and falls mostly to women, affecting their wellbeing and careers. This invisible labour is known as the mental load and most mums are spending a staggering 520 hours per year on it.

But this isn’t just about women, it's a worldwide opportunity. Enabling equal participation in the workforce is an economic opportunity worth $USD12 trillion to Global GDP.

What’s missing are tools. A CFO has SAP, a CSO has salesforce. If we take a step back and treat the home like an organisation - the person in charge needs the right tools to succeed. The CEO of a home needs Gether.

While the world focused on AI for art, we built AI for life admin.

Sure AI for creativity is great BUT we wanted AI to take care of the mundane admin so women everywhere could cold get back precious headspace for creativity, careers and anything else they loved. So, I took a step back from the corporate world to co-found this tech startup with my sister.

Imagine having a personal assistant for your family. Someone to read the endless emails, schedule everyone’s activities, make a to-do list and send you a daily SMS reminder of what’s on for tomorrow.

This SAAS app proactively extracts, allocates, anticipates and reminds parents of family events and tasks so they don’t miss a thing. Gether is one central hub for parents, partners and carers that is enabling women to thrive and helping men become more actively involved in their children's lives.

RESULTS/

From zero to global in 18 months with 1,000+ sign-ups across 38 countries with zero media spend.

Plus we were accepted into Techstars accelerator (with a sub-3% acceptance rate, it’s harder to get into than Harvard). But the real validation? The many messages from parents saying 'You gave me my life back.' That's when you know you've solved something that matters.

Gether is continuing to gain momentum all over the world and is now available in 30 languages. We’re continuing to use AI to tackle the final frontier in gender equality; the home.
